Independent Funeral Celebrant

Hello, I’m Yvonne. If you’re here because you need someone to conduct a funeral for you, first, I’d like to say I’m sorry for your loss.

How can I help?

As a celebrant, I write, prepare and perform personal and individual funeral ceremonies.
I conduct ceremonies for both burials and cremations. I also offer ceremonies for the scattering and internment of ashes.
I offer a spiritual service, and am sensitive to both believers and non-believers.
I can write (or help YOU write) a personal and meaningful eulogy that will resonate with friends and family.
I am as qualified as I am able to be in what is, generally, an unregulated industry (see below).
I am based in East London and mostly work across London and Essex

FAQs

What is a Funeral Celebrant?

A funeral celebrant is a qualified professional who can arrange and conduct a funeral service.
An independent funeral celebrant is usually non-religious but will work with you to set the right tone and help celebrate the life lost.

What does it cost?

Preparing a bespoke funeral service, including meeting the family, making sure the service is truly personal and attending on the day, costs £250.
You can call me on 07506 460465 or fill in the form below.

What experience do you have?

I have been conducting funeral ceremonies for a number of years, including during the Covid19 pandemic. I’ve worked with both Cribbs Funeral Service and Albin & Hitchcock Funeral Service. I am involved with the local community and Christian church but your ceremony doesn’t have to be religious

Yvonne Fletcher

I have been professionally trained to a high standard and am a member of both the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and the National Association of funeral Directors.

Thank you so much for the funeral service you conducted for our friend in April. It was thoughtful, dignified and personal. We were participating via video link but your thoughtful preparation and knowledge of the family resulted in a service that was both reassuring and comforting for those of his family and friends who were present in person, as well as those of us who were participating by other means.
Thank you again for conducting a sensitive celebration of his life.
